UnderWater Bike Race

When? July 4^th

What? DDC’s annual

Underwater Bike Race

Why? To benefit the Children’s Mile of Hope

-     $5.00 entry fee donated to the Mile of Hope, children’s cancer group

-          Prizes given for 1^st through 5^th place racers and for the “Best Dressed Bike and Rider”

-          Underwaterize your own trusty bicycle/tricycle/other wheeled vehicle for the adventure of a lifetime

-          No bike – no problem, use one of a limited number of race bike wannabes available.

-          Join us at the shop prior to charter departure for a bike decorating bonanza

-          Race held on the starboard sand side of the Indra

-          Charters available for $55.00, call for reservations and be at Discovery Diving around 1:00

-          OR take your own transportation and meet us at the race site; be in the water and ready to race around 3pm. Call the Outrageous V on the radio or call the dive shop for last minute start time changes.

-          THE RULES: You must move your bike from the starting point to the finish line by yourself, no electric motors, human power only. One person per bike. You can pedal it, swim it, drag it, float it…just move it!

After race festivities:

*Possible fireworks over the water-we will gladly include your fireworks in the display. Let us know if you have access to some good ones!

*Covered dish supper. Bring your favorite dishes and desserts.

*Drinks available for purchase at the dive shop.

*Come prepared for a grand old time with friends and fellow scuba divers.

*Call the shop the week of the 4th for more specifics.
