On August 5th 2000, on the wreck of the Atlas Tanker our divers were treated to an awesome site.  As the Captains Lady and the Sea Quest II were anchoring up they were met by a Great White Shark.  The Great White was on the surface and circled the Captains Lady until Leroy (Captain of the Captains Lady) decided to move to another site.

The Great White was accompanied by what we believe to have been a newborn.  Mom was longer than the Captains Lady is wide and baby was about 3 feet in length.

Neither shark has been seen since then and we really don't expect to see them again.  Our belief is that mom had come into warmer water to pup (Shark for giving birth) and then moved back out to deeper and colder water.

Needless to say it was quite a sight.
