2010 Treasure Hunt Update.
This years Treasure Hunt (31st Annual) was by all accounts a huge success, we had the nicest weather we've had in years, 200 divers and guests and thanks to some very generous contibutors we had some great prizes (to view these great contibutors and the prizes they donated please follow this link).
If we had one hiccup this year it was the NC Port Authority not allowing us access through the gate at Radio Island to be able to drive down to the Rock Jetty (as they have in the past). So for the first time (and hopefully the only time) in the 31 year history of the Treasure Hunt we were not able to dive the Rock Jetty and had to dive right there off the parking area of the Public Beach Access. Now thankfully we had some phenominal participants who were able to adapt at the last minute and we still ended up with a decent beginning to the day.
For those that participated we would like to ask that you take a moment to email, call or write our local Legislators and let them know about this years event and that you would very much like their help in facilitating our access to Radio Island for next years Treasure Hunt, so as promised here is their contact info:
