Outrageous V


The Outrageous V can carry up to 24 passengers. You can book all the spots or as many as you need. If you book 16 spots or more we will consider the boat filled and not add anyone else to the charter. If you do not book at least 16 spaces we will fill the remaining spaces. With 6 people you qualify for group rates, with 8 paid spaces you get one free space for a certified Divemaster or Instructor and with 16 paid spaces you get two free spaces. You are obligated totally for all the spaces you reserve unless you cancel thirty days before the trip is scheduled to run. The Outrageous V needs a minimum of 8 people to run.


Outrageous V

The Outrageous V was built in 1978 by the Neuville Boat works in LA. and was originally used as an oil field crew boat. The vessel is 47â long , 15â feet wide and is constructed of aluminum and powered by 2- 8V71 Detroit Diesels developing 700 hp. The Out V is licensed by the USCG for 28 people to 100 miles offshore , however our normal load is 18 passengers and a crew of 3. The Out V has very extensive electronics, including SSB, Radar, Loran, GPS, ADF, 2 depth finders, 2 vhf radios and a cellular telephone. The Out V also is fully equipped with safety gear including, first aid kits, oxygen, fire extinguishers, etc. The Out V cruises at 16.5 knots and has a top speed of 20 knots. The Out V has inside seating for 18 people, full size clean toilet facilities, a fresh water system with shower and ice water onboard for your convenience. There is a large upper deck for sunning and cooler storage. There is ample space on the main deck for your tanks and dive gear. The swim platform is 4â wide and 12â long and has 2 ladders.

The Crew

The Capt. is Terry Leonard who has 20 yrs of experience on the waters of NC, during this time he has had experience as a commercial fisherman, a commercial diver, in salvage and towing , charter fishing, etc. Being able to call on this wide range of experiences helps him to give you the best diving experience possible. Terry has been a full time dive boat Capt. since 1984 .

All of the crew members on the Outrageous V are experienced divers and are capable of providing information about the dive sites and the area. All of the crew members are trained in CPR, First Aid , Fire fighting and are capable of handling the boat in an emergency. All of the crew members are also trained as DAN oxygen providers.
