Instructor Program Success Stories
Over the years, dozens of students have graduated from Discovery Diving as PADI Divemasters, Instructors, Master Scuba Diver Trainers, and more! They have gone on to work and teach around the world, open their own dive centers, and even create their own scuba gear brands! Check out what a few of our graduates are up to:
Daniel Garner
Graduated 2006
Programs: Beginner Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Night Diving, Nav, Search & Recovery, Nitrox
Daniel was certified in 2006 with a large class of first responders. Since then, he has expanded his own training and have gotten 5 of his children certified.

Ronnie Brewer
Graduated 2018
Since graduating, Ronnie now owns his own dive shop - Inland Divers of High Point in High Point, NC. He also is an Adjunct Instructor at High Point University where he teaches their SCUBA program. He is a PADI IDC Staff Instructor.
Jim Shepard
Graduated 2021
Programs: Instructor, Divemaster, MSDT
Jim has been an instructor since graduating & working to further his education goals. He has been diving in the Bull Shark mating area in Costa Rica, traveled to the Maldives to dive, and more fun locations! He is now one of DDC's staff instructors.
Dedan Langston
Graduated 2017
Programs: Instructor
Since graduation, Dedan has alos picked up MSDT and an SDI & TDI crossover. He has been teaching as an independent instructor under Blue Tarp Scuba in Durham, NC. He also teaches for Divin Dawgs in New Bern, NC and Raleigh Scuba Diving in Raleigh, NC. He has recently picked up some technical instructor certifications, too!
